Since its foundation in 1994, Education Convergence has remained steadfast in its core mission of "Research, Appraisal, and Practice." Grounded in unbiased professional policy reviews, it has earned widespread support across the education sector. After nearly a decade of active contribution, the organization decided to put its principles into action in 2001 by formally applying to establish a new secondary school. Successfully approved in 2002, the application gave rise to present-day Elegantia College. To function as the supporting entity managing the school, Education Convergence subsequently formed the Education Convergence Education Foundation Limited. With tax-exempt charitable status, the Foundation spearheaded resource allocation and became the official School Sponsoring Body (SSB) of Elegantia College.
Today, the primary responsibilities of Education Convergence Education Foundation Limited include:
- School Sponsoring Body Operations: Maintaining effective operations as the SSB, appointing School Managers to Elegantia College, and participating in major institutional decisions.
- Advisory Representation: Appointing representatives to various educational advisory bodies, including the Committee on Professional Development of Teachers and Principals (COTAP) and the CDC Standing Committee on Values Education, as well as former bodies such as the Advisory Management Committee [Hong Kong Teachers' Centre] (HKTC AMC) and the Council for Professional Conduct in Education (CPC).
- Educational Program Promotion: Hosting, co-hosting, and promoting educational initiatives across Hong Kong schools and all other sectors, such as coordinating school exchanges across Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, along with other educational projects.
